A Beautiful Smile, Faster

Invisalign Treatment

The Invisalign system works to align teeth and improve oral health using a series of almost invisible aligners that are also easy to remove when needed. The customized aligners are made by creating a 3D image of the patient’s teeth in just minutes using an iTero scanner. The trays are then constructed of a smooth, and comfortable plastic that is worn over the teeth. These are then switched out weekly as the teeth gradually move into their final positions.

The best part about Invisalign is it has been proven to be just as effective as traditional braces when used as directed by your orthodontist.

Why Choose Invisalign?

  • Comfort: Invisalign is not only smooth and comfortable to wear, but they’re also removable making it easier to fit into your daily life.
  • Effective: Invisalign can be used to treat a wide range of teeth conditions, including crowded teeth, overbite, underbite, crossbite, gap teeth, open bite and also work on baby and permanent teeth.
  • Faster: With weekly aligner changes your treatment times can be up to 50% faster.
  • Invisible: Because Invisalign is made from a clear material people wont even know your wearing them.
  • Cost: Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign treatment the same way they cover braces.

What to Expect

During your orthodontic visits with us, we will check to make sure treatment is progressing as planned. Patients will need to keep up with changing the aligners on time, and must also wear them as directed. This is an important part of the straightening process because the trays are custom designed to fit the unique plan of every patient. When you start wearing each new set of aligners, you may feel a little extra pressure or discomfort for the first few days, which is totally normal. Skipping appointments or not changing the aligners as scheduled can quickly undo any progress that has been made.

You will need to wear your Invisalign aligners 20 to 22 hours a day and only take them out only to eat, brush your teeth, clean your aligners, and floss. As you wear each set of aligners, your teeth will gently and gradually shift into place. Don’t expect to see results right away, it can take time.

Check-ups will need to be scheduled every six to eight weeks to check the progress and pick up the next batch of aligners. Because you get a batch at a time it means fewer orthodontist visits than traditional braces.
